Luis Medina
Project Manager
With more than 12 years of experience, Luis has had the opportunity to work in all areas of engineering and construction. He spent his early career days designing roadways, pedestrian walkways, parks and structures. He then worked as a consultant for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ), providing support services such as construction document review prior to construction bidding. After such work, he continued his career path performing special inspections such as re-bar, concrete, masonry, steel, welding and bolting inspections. During Hurricane Sandy, many residences in the NYC area were flooded and needed repair. As a result, New York City created the Build It Back (NYC BIB) program to raise houses above the seawater levels. He inspected the contractor’s work from raising the residences to the construction of the foundation. Continuing his knowledge and application, he managed several sub-contractors as was required to complete the replacement of the Palisades Interstate Highway (PIP) Helix at the George Washington Bridge as well as vital roadway repairs.
