Jay Shapiro & Associates, Inc. is proud to have been selected by the Village of South Orange, New Jersey to provide construction management services for the renovations of the Baird Community Center.
Planned improvements include roof replacement, repairs and restoration of the building exterior and a complete renovation of the interior. Renovations will include a cafe, dance and fitness areas, art rooms, performance space and public meeting space. The Pierro Gallery will be housed on the first floor of the main building. A two-story field house addition will include a garage, storage and a gym and event space.
Construction will start late spring 2020. The project is expected to be completed in two years. South Orange Village will have a state-of-the art Recreational and Cultural Arts Center that will serve the community.
